Wall Cracks
While most small cracks in foundation walls are simple cosmetic blemishes, cracked walls are a major source of basement leaks. Even small cracks can lead to major problems if groundwater passes through to your basement or crawl space.
Excess moisture can damage belongings, cause wood rot, and lead to the growth of mold and mildew. If left unchecked, these problems can lead to serious structural damage that will be an intense undertaking to fully repair.
Thankfully, the team at Regional Foundation & Crawl Space Repair is here to help. Call or contact us today to schedule a free inspection from one of our basement experts and see what can be done to repair the cracks in your foundation walls.
Installing the FlexiSpan® Wall System
Regional Foundation & Crawl Space Repair uses the FlexiSpan® Foundation Crack Repair System to repair leaking wall cracks. The FlexiSpan® wall system is a permanent, patented, and warrantied repair solution. To install the FlexiSpan® wall system, we follow a five-step process.
Drainage System or Dry Well Installation
FlexiSpan® can be integrated with WaterGuard® and other interior drainage systems to direct leaks to your sump pump. Alternatively, we can install a small dry well of 5 to 10 gallons at the base of the crack.
Polyurethane Sealant
We’ll seal the cracks with a high-viscosity polyurethane polymer. The polyurethane polymer penetrates deep into the crack, forming a durable and flexible seal.
Secondary Drainage
The polyurethane polymer seal should last forever. However, in the rare event that it does fail, about 95% of incoming water should be stopped. For best results, we will install a second drainage system on the basement wall that will direct water to your drainage system or dry well.
Finishing Repairs
We will overlay your sealed wall crack with a polyurethane sealant to keep your walls looking great. The sealant is light gray, offering a professional, finished look.
