Interior Slab Leveling

Are your floors uneven? Are cracks and separations starting to form in your doorways? If so, your home may be experiencing foundation issues that need immediate attention.

Your interior slab may be sinking, causing structural damage and warping throughout your home. As concrete slabs sink or settle, the damage to your home can become serious if left ignored for too long.

Thankfully, the process of restoring your interior slab doesn’t have to be difficult. With Regional Foundation & Crawl Space Repair, your interior slab can be lifted to its original position using a non-invasive method known as PolyLevel®.

What Causes Uneven Floors?

The condition of the soil beneath your home is the root cause of most, if not all, of your uneven floor troubles. When concrete slabs are poured on weak, wet, or poorly compacted soils, the support for the slab will be lacking.

Eventually, the soils will compress, wash away, or settle, creating empty pockets or voids beneath your interior slab. When this happens, your concrete will crack and sink to fill the empty space below it.

When your interior slab sinks, it can cause uneven floors. It can also cause your floor to pull away from walls and doorways, opening large gaps at the seams.

Foundation issues like this have a huge impact. They can create tripping hazards and significantly impact the value of your home. If you plan on selling your home, the foundation issues may create a challenging obstacle.

How We Use PolyLevel® to Repair Sunken Interior Slabs

Compared to traditional methods like self-leveling compounds and mud jacking, PolyLevel® is one of the best solutions for raising interior slabs. The process is simple.

We remove very small sections of finished flooring to access the slab. Then, we bore penny-sized holes into the slab of each affected room. Afterward, we inject high-density polyurethane foam into each hole. After injection, the foam will expand and raise the slab until it is level once again.

This foam reaches 90% rigidity in just 30 minutes. Finally, we fill the bored holes and restore the finished flooring. With PolyLevel®, you have the best chance at restoring your interior slab without significant disruption at home.
